MARLIN FEVER 3.27.17
Can’t say why but the last four days here has been Marlin Mania. We had Jeff Wortman back with us again for 4 days from Florida with his fishing partner Dana Lynn Glassier from Denver ( her first time sportfishing ).

For the 4th of July, we threw a big BBQ in the rancho next to the beach, had a fantastic fireworks show and a great time was had by all. Only in Panama can you have a fireworks show like that right in the front yard:)
Willy and Carolyn from Cameron Louisiana fished with Captain Chaka and Mate Mata.
We have Jamie Browne and Frank Anderson here from Florida fishing with us. This is just day 1. 10 yellow fin tunas all between 40 and 60 lbs. All on poppers and live baits. Could have caught 50.
We started of the season the first week of December with Russell and sons Leo and Nick here from Australia. They fished for three days and caught over 20 dorado, snuck in a nice sailfish, added around 8 roosters with some snapper and bluefin trevally into the mix.
There was a smorgasbord of fish caught. They had too many yellow fin tunas to count no monsters but a good 70 to 80 lb. average with some mahi mahi, pargos, sailfish, mullet snappers and groupers mixed in We also had good action on the rooster fish around 20 with about 15 averaging 30lbs.
We had Greg and Dennis Pawlek back again with friends John and Tom. Fishing with Captain Carlos. These guys are our deep drop guys and bring us all kinds of critters we hardly ever see, but are so awesome on the dinner table. Below is Greg’s day by day breakdown. Those cute little red things are unbelievable to eat…
