It has been a crazy 10 days or so, so this is going to be a composite report. We had Rick and Rebecca Weisenburger and their friends Roger and Rosie. The four R’s:) Been with us several times. Also had Bob and Lisa Baxter with friends Bill and Cindy Swisher, newbies.
First, Mark Polewski brought down the whole Canadian gang, Ron, Len, Archie, Andy, Tom, Dan and Ted. This was Marks second trip down here with us, but it was 5 years ago. Hope they don’t wait that long to return 🙂 Then we had Ray Rogers and Family. These folks are from West Virginia and I believe our first guests from there.
The fishing continues to be great. Last week we had Greg Lien, who bought the trip at the Minnesota chapter of Safari Club and brought his friends, John, Brian and Jereme. They were fishing with Captain Carlos and his mate Eloy. It’s still a Dorado fest. Got 30 plus and once again nice size fish.
Last week we had Steve McCReary, his friends Mike, Jerry and the new guy Bill. They were fishing wit Captain Carlos and Mate Eloy. These guys are a riot. When I say Steve brought his friends, well, you couldn’t really tell they were friends by the way they treated each other:) This is their 4th trip with us.
The fishing continues to be hot. Over New Years, we had Heister Linn and his better half Ruthy fishing with Carlos and his mate Eloy. 1st day out, Heister got a Black Marlin and several more Dorados. The dorado bite continues to be red hot and still large fish. Day two, they did some nearshore fishing and got 7 Roosters…
It was an epic week at Hooked on Panama Lodge. This is from Christmas week. We had Weedie and Susan Sweet plus the whole family and some guy we called, The Boyfriend:) Just joking. Also had Cecil and Arlene Hammond. The whole fleet was out and it was another week of all Texans.
First off, sorry for the delay on this one. We have been crazy busy during the holidays and I finally got a chance to sit down and do this. 🙂 We had Dick and Meera Rosser here fishing with Captain Victor and our new mate, Lucho. They were on a hit and run mission, just two days out with us.
Merry Christmas from Hooked on Panama Lodge! Colton McCulloch brought down the Texas boys last week, Clay McCulloch, Leon Kimich and Justin Boenigk. They were fishing with Captain Chaka and his mate Jacinto. Colton won the bidding on this trip from one of the Coastal Conservation Association auctions…
We started of the season the first week of December with Russell and sons Leo and Nick here from Australia. They fished for three days and caught over 20 dorado, snuck in a nice sailfish, added around 8 roosters with some snapper and bluefin trevally into the mix.
Another report from Hooked on Panama Lodge. Last one for this season. Plenty more to come in December. We are dry docking the fleet for next years craziness. Wim Janssen was here again.
