Ron Winter Group

Ron Winter and his group of 7 anglers from California fished with us for 3 days. They fished on the Miss Baru with Captain Oliver and Mate Carlito and on La Chiricana with Captain Victor and Mate Jacinto. It was three days of dorado madness. They landed 32 dorado’s, releasing 16, released 6 sails with many more in the spread. Inshore fishing released 2 roosters estimated 40 to 45lbs, 2 cubera snappers, 1 rock snapper with many more hook ups; also in the mix several tripletails and tons of amber jacks. Great group of fishermen, we are looking forward to having them all back again.

Fishing Report for February 12th

Had a group of four guys fishing two boats. Jim Forzley and Bryan Enseleit, fishing with Captain Chaka and his mate Carlos. Plus, Randy Wood and Wilson Spencer, fishing with Captain Victor and his mate Jacinto. Three days fishing produced some great numbers.

Fishing Report for July 3

Got another late season group here with us at Hooked on Panama Lodge. First day started slow, but by mid afternoon the bite was on. Ended up with 8 yellowfin tuna in the 40lb. range and 2 roosters on the way home. One rooster topped out at 70lbs.

Day 1 Started out a little slow but did release a 200 lb. Black Marlin and brought in some Rock Snappers for dinner.

Day 2 Fishing picked up and they released 3 Black Marlins 200 to 400 lbs. 5 Sailfish and a few small Ahi´s for
dinner and Shashimi.

Day 3 They released 1 Blue Marlin, 1 Black Marlin, 5 Sailfish and lost 2 more Blacks. At the end of the day picked
up a nice Mahi for dinner. Lost count of how many Bills were raised over the three days….

It has been an epic week here at Hooked on Panama Lodge. David Nelson brought down a great group of guys. 15 of them total. A little doctors conference with fishing thrown in:) 4 days the entire fleet. Multiple Marlin, big Sail numbers, a few Roosters, a few Dorados and a butt load of very large Yellow Fin Tuna.
