Panama Fishing February 5, 2020

Got another report from last week. Sorry it has taken a bit of time, but have been waiting on photos.  I miss the days of people using cameras instead of phones for all their photos. 🙂 🙂

Everyone here last week was pretty much repeats with only a handful of newbies mixed in.

Wolfgang was back.  The man, the myth, the legend.  He brought new friends this time, David and Ralph and they were fishing with captain Victor.  On their first day they spent a lot of time nearshore fishing.  David said they got 12 different species in one day.  Plus the biggest African Pampano any of us have seen. They also got into the big tunas.

Steve McCreary was here also with his cohorts in crime, Gerry, Mike and a new Mike.  They also had some great inshore fishing.  Roosters, Cubera Snappers, Mutton Snappers and some football tunas.  These guys are always so much fun and a pleasure to hang out with at the end of the day.

Ray Rogers also returned with his wife Pam, son Jeremy and Jeremy’s girlfriend Susan.  Never got any photos from them, but they had a great whale encounter, Susan was thrilled about the dolphin shows and got Tunas, Dorado, Cubera, Rock and Mutton Snappers.  I think Jeremy is addicted to our seared tuna and sashimi appetizers. 🙂

The marlin sail bite has slowed down, but not because they are not out there.  Everyone saw many.  Jeremy said at one point he was looking down into the water and there was bait just everywhere.  So, basically, everything is full.  They come into the lures window shopping, snooping around, but not those red hot attacks.  Guess when you are stuffed with bait, lures and our own baits just aren’t that appealing. 🙂 🙂

It’s still crazy busy. All the boats are out and will have more to come soon.

Until then, tight lines.
