Hello again from Hooked On Panama, Christopher and Katie Mayfield with daughter Kayla and Christopher’s sister Emily just left the Lodge after two days of inshore fishing.
Here we go again at HOOKED ON PANAMA. We had Jack Bispham and Libby Carlene here for two days on a working vacation. Jack looking to take Rooster Fish off his bucket list. We took care of that the first morning with three nice Roosters.
Directly following the Mark and Peggy Rose group, we just had the Little family, William, Shonna and kids Aubrey and Brandon here at the lodge for the 2nd. time. They had some good inshore action with 9 roosters released, and several small grouper and snapper.
Greetings from Hooked on Panama Lodge! Mark and Peggy Rose where back again with us and brought along brother Gary & wife Eda and friends James and Gino Harden. Their first day was inshore with a variety of Roosters and Snappers.
Day 1 Started out a little slow but did release a 200 lb. Black Marlin and brought in some Rock Snappers for dinner.
Day 2 Fishing picked up and they released 3 Black Marlins 200 to 400 lbs. 5 Sailfish and a few small Ahi´s for
dinner and Shashimi.
Day 3 They released 1 Blue Marlin, 1 Black Marlin, 5 Sailfish and lost 2 more Blacks. At the end of the day picked
up a nice Mahi for dinner. Lost count of how many Bills were raised over the three days….
Carlos Villarreal and Jason Smith was here for three days of fishing from California
focused mostly on inshore fishing……
Can’t say why but the last four days here has been Marlin Mania. We had Jeff Wortman back with us again for 4 days from Florida with his fishing partner Dana Lynn Glassier from Denver ( her first time sportfishing ).
Jack and Kurt Devaney from Dallas just left this morning and were only here for
a short two and a half days of fishing.
They arrived the first day at 11:30 AM changed cloths and straight to the boat.
Jack asked how the Marlin and Rooster fishing was and I told him we have been doing
pretty well on the Marlin as of late not expecting a whole lot on a half day trip.
2 Black Marlin and they actually had a triple hook up Blacks but only managed to release one. I can only imagine the chinese fire drill that was. Probably why I don’t have any marlin photos from them. 4 nice size sails, 1 large rooster and several snappers.
Got Sails, dorado, one wahoo, roosters and snappers. The big one was a huge black marlin. We estimated around 650 to 700lbs.
