Greetings from Hooked on Panama Lodge!

We had Ed and Evon Mckenday here with us again this time they brought their friend Greg Donaghy. They fished for only one day because they are lucky to live here in Panama and can come over for a day or two when they feel like fishing!

They fished on January 2 which was during the Supermoon and had a great day! They just shot the full moon theory out the door!

They released a blue marlin, 2 nice snappers, boated 15 yellowfin tuna, while they were fishing for bait and 3 dorado.

Needless to say their cooler was loaded up for their ride home the next day, and dinner that night put them in the mood for a good night’s sleep!

Thanks for the great company Ed and Evon we look forward to having you back in April!

The fishing continues to be hot. Over New Years, we had Heister Linn and his better half Ruthy fishing with Carlos and his mate Eloy. 1st day out, Heister got a Black Marlin and several more Dorados. The dorado bite continues to be red hot and still large fish. Day two, they did some nearshore fishing and got 7 Roosters…

Got another report from last week. Sorry it has taken a bit of time, but have been waiting on photos. I miss the days of people using cameras instead of phones for all their photos. 🙂 🙂 Everyone here last week was pretty much repeats with only a handful of newbies mixed in.

May 2nd – 5th we had John Hanks, Bill, Tobey and Brent fishing with us for three days. They killed it on the Yellow Fin Tuna landing around 20. Five of them were over 100lbs. with one weighing in at 150lbs.

Fishing Report for January 19th

Stan & Mitch from Saskatchewan Canada fished with Captain Oliver and Mate Carlos for 4 days. They landed 3 marlin biggest one estimated at 350lbs. – 2 sails – 1 rooster fish estimated weight 35lbs. – 2 dorado’s and 2 Y-fin tuna.

Directly following the Mark and Peggy Rose group, we just had the Little family, William, Shonna and kids Aubrey and Brandon here at the lodge for the 2nd. time. They had some good inshore action with 9 roosters released, and several small grouper and snapper.

Greetings from Hooked on Panama Lodge! Mark and Peggy Rose where back again with us and brought along brother Gary & wife Eda and friends James and Gino Harden. Their first day was inshore with a variety of Roosters and Snappers.
