Fishing Report for March 7th

Another great report with pics from Hooked on Panama Lodge. March 7th-14th, 2014. And, the sunrise photo below is not touched up:)
Skip Erickson returned this year with some friends from last year and some newbies too. Most from Montana and one from North Dakota. Fishing was good. Skip released his first Marlin. Mary got a clean release on one too. Had two others hooked up, but didn’t get them to the leader. At one point, Jim, Steve and John had a triple hooked up on sails and managed to release all at the boat. The video of them doing the over under dance was pretty funny.
I think everyone got releases on sails. Lots of them around, but being a bit finicky. Coming in, but not really attacking the spread. Diane got a 56lb. cubera snapper on 20lb. class line. If it had been on 30lb. class line, would have been a record. But, she didn’t hook it herself, so would have been DQed. Couple of nice dorados, but, only one rooster this trip.
The group is planning their next trip already. They were great fun and we are going to miss them.
