Fishing Report for June 20th

Here is another fishing report from Hooked on Panama Lodge.

We have Dan and Judy Hunsaker here with us right now from Tucson Arizona.  They are doing a 6 day fishing experience.  The first 2 days were a bit slow.  Only one rooster per day.  I kept telling Dan,  not to worry,  they are out there.  After that,  the bite turned on again.  Big yellow fin tuna and large dorado to boot.  Pics below.

The crew estimated the biggest tuna at around 220lbs.  :):):)  Dan says he is pretty much done with that:)  They went back to near shore fishing for their last day today.

They leave us tomorrow:(,  but they are staying another day here in Panama.  Doing a scenic trip up through the town of Volcan and then on to spend the night in Boquete.  A beautiful town on the slopes of Volcan Baru.  The 11,000 foot volcano you can see from the lodge.  The next day,  they are going to do the zip line in the rain forest before heading back to Panama City and then home.

The meals were awesome.  So much so,  that the entire lodge gave Margot,  our chef,  a standing ovation.

These two were so much fun and we are going to miss them when they leave.
