Fishing Report for January 24th
Fishing report from Hooked on Panama Lodge. This is from the week ending Jan. 23rd. We had a big group in from Fishing With Larry. Guy Schoenborn was their host Guy had 10 anglers and 2 non anglers with him. They were from all over the country:)
Our release count dropped some, but it wasn’t from lack of action. I think some of these guys were fishing with rubber hooks:) Had the whole fleet of 3 fishing for 4 days.
- Raised 16 marlin, released 3.
- Raised 45 sail fish, released 14.
- 5 dorados, couple of roosters and 1 cubera snapper.
There was lots of billfish action and we normally get around a 50% release rate, but the critters were not cooperating. Did get some great marlin shots below, though. One of the marlin was trying to walk himself right into the back deck, and, one of the sails was around 160lbs.
Great fun was had by all and Fishing With Larry already has a week booked out next January.
