Fishing Report for Dec 1st

To start off the season we had brothers Seth and Garth Williams along with their friends Steven Walsh and Theron Smith from California and Iowa.

They fished on the Miss Baru with Captain Oliver and Mate Carlito spending their first day offshore fishing with the intent to get into some Sailfish action. Well that’s what happened they raised 7 Sails released 2, with Garth and Steven having a double strike and one sail that gave them the not today I don’t think so close to the boat. They also got into the Dorado and had some fun bringing them in, along with a small but worthy YF-Tuna for sashimi that night.

Day 2 fishing offshore the Dorado was so thick that they released most of them.

Day 3 fishing offshore, they still needed two more Sailfish, again they got their wish raising 6 more and releasing 2 everyone got their sail! They also snagged another Dorado along with 1 YF-Tuna and 1 Dog Tooth Tuna. Later went to the point to finish off the day to get Garth the Rooster Fish he was wanting and he got one averaging 35 to 40lb. Great group, really enjoyed there company and we look forward to their next trip which could be this coming June for the YF-Tuna run.

Fishing Report for March 6th

We have Roxanne from Texas with us and she just finished 2 1/2 days of fishing with Captain Oliver and mate Carlito. Connie Hudson, one of the partners here, fished with Roxanne for the first 2 days. On day 1, they raised 30 sails and released 5. 2 of them over a 100lbs.

Yeehaw!!! Here we go again. Another report from Hooked on Panama Lodge. We have Mike ( the warden ) and his lovely bride Brenda ( AKA the Fish Goddess ) fishing with us this week. They did 5 days total with some days off in between. It was a great week.

Here we go again at HOOKED ON PANAMA. We had Jack Bispham and Libby Carlene here for two days on a working vacation. Jack looking to take Rooster Fish off his bucket list. We took care of that the first morning with three nice Roosters.
