Another amazing fishing experience in Panama

We had Tony Pena, his brother Armand and Armand’s wife Valerie with us for a couple of days fishing this week of May 15th, 2013

Below are some Photos taken by Tony Pena, AKA, the Roving Angler.  Some sail fish antics and a couple of really nice Marlin photos.

The 350 lb. Black Marlin was caught and released by Tony’s brother Armand and the sail fish caught and released by Armand’s wife, Valerie.

Tony left us with a nice testimonial for the lodge.  It is quoted below.

” I have visited Hooked on Panama Lodge three times and they were all great experiences.  This May 13th to 16th. 2013 had quality fishing with a 350lb. Black Marlin ( released by my brother Armand) on a Moldcraft-ballyhoo combination.  This rig is a lodge secret and it is very effective on most pelagic species and can be more productive than live bait.

The lodge boats are the softest riding hulls in the Gulf of Chiriqui and I have ridden on all of them.  Live bait is available most of the time which means you get more fishing time on the water.  The boat crews are friendly, experienced and fast.  Some of the best in Panama.

The lodge itself is only six years old and is a first class resort with a swimming pool, great food, excellent staff and amiable ownership in Captain Dan Peavy who always seems to be helping guest.

I have fished in 18 countries and I can say that Hooked on Panama is one of my favorite destinations for fishing, relaxing and just having a good time.”
